Justin Sinclair, Keynote Speaker, NatPrac 2018

Justin is a Pharmacognosist & Educator, and has spent decades exploring the diverse field of herbal medicine, both from a scientific and traditional ethnopharmacological perspective. 

Working in education since 2003, Justin has taught across a wide variety of subjects encompassing medical sciences such as anatomy, physiology, integrated pharmacology and clinical pathology to plant specific sciences such as pharmacognosy / phytochemistry, herbal manufacturing and medicinal botany. He has worked as a research and development consultant to the educational and healthcare industries since 2006.

Key areas of study in his Masters degree with the Faculty of Pharmacy at Sydney University were toxicology, pharmacognosy, analytical phytochemistry, medicinal botany and pharmaceutical technology. 

Over the last decade, his research interests encompass Medicinal Cannabis, cannabinoid based pharmacology, novel drug development, full spectrum plant extracts and plant based pharmacology for pain, inflammation and immune modulation.

Justin is currently a Research Fellow at NICM Health Research Institute, an international leader in integrative medicine research based at Western Sydney University where he also heads up the Australian Medicinal Cannabis Research and Education Collaboration (AMCREC). He is a Fellow of the Naturopaths and Herbalists Association of Australia (NHAA) and maintains full membership with both the NHAA and the Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS). He also holds Associate membership with the Society of Cannabis Clinicians (USA) and the International Cannabinoid Research Society.

His current clinical interests include pain management, mental health disorders and herb drug interactions.

Shilo Mason

Shilo Mason is a respected biochemist with extensive training in complementary medicine.  She specialises in natural health education.  Throughout the past 15 years she has presented internationally to integrative medicine practitioners and scientists on a variety of topics including mental health, inflammation and nutrition and throughout Australia, both for Ariya Health and The Australasian Academy of Anti-Ageing Medicine.

Shilo’s biomedical background combined with her pre and post-graduate studies in pharmacology, nutrition, herbal medicine, endocrinology, psychology and biochemistry has given her a broad and thorough understanding of both allopathic and complementary medicine.  This is basis of the attribute that makes her famous in the naturopathic world – her unrivalled technical support and practitioner mentoring. 

Moira Bradfield

Moira Bradfield, founder of Intimate Ecology, is a Naturopath, Acupuncturist and Educator with over 17 years clinical experience and has a passion for helping people experience optimal health in sustainable and sensible ways.

Clinically she has a niche interest in recurrent vaginal infections and their associated risks.

Graduating with a Bachelor of Naturopathy from Southern Cross University in 2001, Moira has worked as a Naturopath in a variety of settings both in Australia and overseas, treating a wide range of health conditions and disease states.

In 2010 she completed a Masters Degree in Acupuncture through Southern Cross University and now incorporates effective Oriental protocols into her Naturopathic practice.

In addition to her role as a Naturopath Moira has lectured in Naturopathy both overseas and in Australia and is currently the Senior Lecturer for Nutrition at The Endeavour College of Natural Health, Southport.

Moira is embarking on formal research with Griffith University as part of commencement of PhD studies in the area of the vaginal microbiome and conditions of vaginal dysbiosis.

Vanita Dahia, Speaker, NatPrac 2018

Vanita Dahia is an integrative medicine clinical consultant pharmacist, naturopath and clinical nutritionist.

Board certified fellow in Anti-ageing and regenerative medicine providing clinical training programs and educational initiatives to Dr’s and allied health practitioners.

Functional pathology clinical consultant providing in-depth technical and clinical consultancy to doctors and allied health practitioners internationally. 

Vanita is a medical authority and extraordinary mentor to her peers and patients alike. As a presenter to her peers and community at large, she is engaging, articulate, humorous, and insightful, making learning a dynamic experience for professional and personal growth.

She has more than 30 years expertise in compounding pharmacy, integrative medicine, functional Pathology, herbal and Ayurvedic medicine.

Vanita received her training in anti-aging medicine through association and membership with the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M and A5M) and Professional compounding Centres of America and Australia (PCCA).

Vanita is an international speaker and the author of Alchemy of the Mind, co-authored a number of books.

Kirstin Gilmour, Speaker, NatPrac 2018.

Kristin is an experienced Melbourne-based naturopathic practitioner with a special interest in the management of skin conditions.  Alongside her naturopathic practice, Kristin is also a researcher, technical writer and educator for leading Australian herbal medicine company, OptimalRx. 

 Kristin has a great passion for health education, whether that’s with patients in private consultation, via providing educational online resources, or through practitioner education at conferences.  With a keen interest in herbal medicine, Kristin has expanded her lecturing in recent years with OptimalRx, providing health practitioners with practical and innovative natural medicine strategies based on current research.

Dr Bradley McEwen

Dr Bradley McEwen PhD is a naturopath, nutritionist, herbalist, educator, researcher, and mentor with over 19 years of clinical experience. He has a passion for teaching and has been educating in nutritional medicine and the health sciences for over 15 years. He presents seminars, webinars, and at conferences both nationally and internationally (United States, United Kingdom, Spain, Japan, New Zealand).

He has numerous original research and review articles published in peer-reviewed journals. Brad has a passion for research. He is a peer reviewer for international journals. His research interests include the effects of diet and nutrition on cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cardiometabolic syndrome, depression, anxiety, polycystic ovarian syndrome, cognition, and chronic disease; Omega-3 PUFA; antioxidants; chronic disease prevention; complementary and integrative medicine; and public health.

He has received numerous awards throughout his career, including the Eberhard F. Mammen Young Investigator Award (an international award in thrombosis and haemostasis). In 2016 Brad received the Excellence in Practice Lecturer Researcher of the Year and the Dorothy Hall Memorial Award for Practitioner Excellence (an award for the advancement of natural medicine in Australia). In 2017, he was finalist for Lecturer of the Year.

Brad has extensive training in health, public health and the health sciences. He keeps up to date by regularly attending seminars for continuing professional education (CPE). Brad has a strong passion for seeing people succeed and achieve their goals. He also enjoys chocolate, travel, photography, walking, and conversation.

Geoff Beaty

Geoff Beaty DN is a Master Herbalist and Naturopath.  He is also skilled in muscular-skeletal therapies, kinesiology (TBM), Reiki, and management, project design & development and marketing. Trained by a third-generation Herbalist and Naturopath in Western Australia, Geoff has a deep respect for the traditions in Western Herbalism and the amazing amount of knowledge about herbs and the bounty of the natural world that provides our food and natural medicine for us.

Geoff developed a very powerful type of bodywork technique called OrthoDynamics and is published in the USA and lectures widely in Australia, USA and Singapore. Recently he led a team redeveloping a hotel into an Integrative Oncology Medical Clinic and Wellness Village in Sri Lanka.
